Get Involved
Volunteer with Us
If you feel called to help people and the pets they love, you can make a meaningful difference through one of our volunteer opportunities.
Paws4Christ is built on people who feel called to care for others by caring for their pets. Whether you are able to give time, skills, or support, each role matters and is approached with intention, compassion, and respect.
Volunteer Support
Volunteers play a vital role in helping carry out our mission. Support may include walking dogs, assisting with daily care, helping with compassionate visits, or offering behind the scenes assistance. Roles vary based on availability, experience, and current needs.
Volunteer opportunities are coordinated thoughtfully to ensure the safety and wellbeing of both people and pets.

Foster Support
Temporary foster care is sometimes needed when pets cannot remain in their home due to a medical or life crisis. Foster support provides a safe and loving environment while an owner navigates treatment or recovery, with the goal of reunification whenever possible.
Organizational Partnerships
Paws4Christ works alongside organizations and professionals who serve individuals facing illness, aging, or life transitions. These partnerships help ensure that people are aware of available support for their pets when care becomes difficult.
For mission-aligned organizations and community groups
Paws4Christ partners with organizations that share a heart for compassionate service and serve individuals navigating illness, aging, or life transitions. These partnerships help raise awareness of available support and strengthen the network of care surrounding families and their pets.
Partners help by:
-
sharing information about Paws4Christ services
-
collaborating on outreach or community support
-
connecting families to resources during times of change

For care professionals involved in medical or life transitions
Hospital social workers, medical centers, assisted living facility staff, hospice organizations, and other care professionals are often the first to recognize when pet care has become a concern.
We work with these professionals to receive referrals and provide practical support that helps individuals remain connected to the pets they love during medical treatment, recovery, or changes in living situation.
Referrals are handled with care, respect, and discretion.

Support Care through Giving
Financial support helps make these programs possible by covering essential costs related to temporary care, veterinary services, and coordination that ensures care is provided safely and responsibly. Giving is one way to stand with families during seasons when illness, medical recovery, or age-related changes limit their ability to fully care for the pets they love.
Veterinary care may be needed while pets are in our custody to ensure their ongoing health and wellbeing.
Support also helps provide the practical supplies required to safely carry out this care. This may include leashes, waste bags, visibility and safety equipment for walks, and basic enrichment items used while animals are in our custody.
Getting involved is not about doing everything. It is about doing something meaningful, in the right way, at the right time. We are grateful for every person who feels called to walk alongside this mission.
